As a life coach who coaches women on high standards in looking for quality men I was particularly intrigued to read this post about Tia Mowry and her husband Cory Hardrict. Some women fall for anything and accept a man with no job, car, prospects nor potential for anything that remotely resembles being a good husband, father and provider. I advise clients of which to steer clear of these types and run the other way. They are disasters waiting to happen. I coach women on how to carefully vet men and eventually they will know how to spot keepers. In addition I recommend my clients read The Rules.
Thanks to Raynika for sharing her romance story with Interracial Marriage and Family. Brandon is truly my soul mate. His love, ability to accept me for me and his willingness to help me to grow as a person is the greatest feeling in the world. He asked me to be his last girlfriend ever and I happily said yes!
The beautiful Dorothy Dandridge, was legendary. She was a multitalented woman way ahead of her time. Dorothy’s mother Ruby and her lover Geneva Williams were abusive and taught Dorothy nothing about vetting good, quality men. Tragically almost every man in Dorothy’s romantic life left her heartbroken and broken.
“What Kind of Music Did You Play at Your Wedding?” asked a friend recently in one of my Facebook groups. I had not thought much about it in nineteen years but it was indeed refreshing to think about it. We had Youtube in 1995 so it was serendipitous to find all the tunes online.
It was love at first sight when Ada 23, saw Yan Yang 58, an artist from China visiting her home town of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Ada was so sure that Yan, significantly older was the love of her life, that within one month they were married and moved to China. Did she have any idea that her wedding would rival that of a Chinese empress? Probably not. But that is what she got.
Brennan Shares: I’m a happily married man and a recent father. My wife’s name is Ivy, a half-Panamanian and half-Mexican young woman. Her Panamanian mother has been remarried to a Caucasian man for nearly 20 years. So her parents were not remotely concerned about their daughter dating a white man.
60 years is so long to wait but in this case late is definitely better than never. Stories like this are so inspiring and leaves one with such hope for our future. But it also makes me want to go back in time and punch some folks in the nose. Joan Williams will finally take her place atop a float in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses on New Year’s Day 2015. I am thrilled that Mrs. Williams is alive to receive this honor. Here’s to good things coming full circle.
Your customers are hugely important. And your key employees. As well as the industry you’ve chosen, politics, macroeconomics, and education.

It was 1983. Deborah Wallace, a second-generation Canadian of Scottish descent, had fallen in love with Stephen Hinds, a black man from Guyana. When Hinds walked into the insurance company Wallace worked for, it was love at first sight.
Right from the start of period, competition and numerous civilizations have joined into significant and effective associations. Farhia and Jason were astounded that their beautiful wedding photographs went viral on the Internet. The pics of this chic and hip urban couple are on many many Blasian and interracial couples Tumblr site as well as bridal and wedding websites. I even covered them here on BBW. Amal and Nada, the fab female photographers who make up Black Earth Studios deserve an award for The Koyama Wedding Shoot. These photogragphs are absolutely beautiful. I did not want to just piece together facts and display photos, I wanted an interview. So now I am sharing a little of Farhia and Jason’s story with you. Farhia is very open minded and had no inhibitions dating or marrying interracially in the least bit.

Want to break some ice in Iceland? As I am always encouraging black women to explore the world outside the United States, I finally get to discuss Iceland, first in a series about Scandinavia. Before you envision a permanent frozen tundra, be aware that the temperature in Iceland is closer to that of the US Atlantic Seaboard. Anyone from Maine to Virginia should be used to the winter weather and elements experienced with cold. Iceland gets all four seasons. And there is a warm current from the Gulf Stream so you are actually able to withstand the temperatures. There is a lot of darkness in the winter, but midnight sun brings light in the summer for long days.
