Freda shares her story: Jeremy and I were together for 4 years before marrying in July 2015. We lot friends and some family members due to our decision to be together. Our older son’s name is Jaden, as you can see we were expecting but now have another little baby boy. Jeremy and I met through mutual friends. From the first day Jeremy and I met, we felt the connection.
I love to see military couples. Andrew shares: This is my wife Jordan. Although we were friends from school, Jordan’s younger sister actually introduced us at church in August of 2012. We dated for a year and got married on September 21, 2014.
Nicole shares: This is my husband Matt Cancellare. We have 4 beautiful boys altogether. He has two from his previous marriage. I have one from a previous relationship and we now have an 18 month old boy together. We have been married 4 yrs now and together for 7 yrs total.
Savannah shares: My husband Ridge and I just celebrated our one year anniversary in January 2014 and the birth of our baby boy Raiden in December. They are an absolutely gorgeous young family. And get that baby an agent!
Not only was Centralia, Illinois native Marcella (Marcy) Ng the first black woman military pilot (Army) in 1979; but she and husband Dennis were also Blasian trailblazers. Mrs. Ng shared with me that she found all the swirling and blasian terms interesting because she and her husband have been together 33 plus years.
Cherilyn and Terry Smith
Cherilyn Weekes Smith is very special — as she has been a powerful voice in Black Women Empowerment. Cherilyn, as she is known to followers of Black Women Deserve Better™ her blog, she promotes healthy, well living lifestyles for Black women. As well, she encourages marriage for Black women to high quality men regardless of race. Because Cherilyn practices what she preaches, it is not at all surprising that she took her own advice, and that of similarly minded bloggers.
