Finding your mate in prison can have devastating consequences as this the lady in this story experienced.  What a terrible tragedy for this woman, Faith Harris-Green.  But she bears some responsibility. With few exceptions, we should not go to prison to find our mates.  When one has murdered his first wife and unborn child, does he deserve a second chance?  I am all for forgiveness and second chances for some people.  But I would not be willing to risk my life nor those of my children for an ex-con who is capable of such depravity.
Faith Harris Green’s desire to be a wife and mother may have clouded her judgement. She knew who Gregory Green was and she knew about the murders he committed yet married him anyway. Forgiveness is wonderful but you can’t forget or overlook the heinous crime he committed. To show Gregory Green’s appreciation to Faith for her love and devotion, he beat, shot her, cut up her face, then murdered her four beautiful children – two in front of her.

Chadney Allen, 19, and Kara Allen, 17, and Kaliegh 6 and Koi Green, 5.

Reality Check

Faith Harris-Green has her father to thank for helping win this degenerate’s parole. She married him two years after his release. In a letter to the Michigan Parole Board her father, Fred Harris used the word “mishap” to describe the brutal murder. Look what it cost him and more importantly, his daughter. SMH:  “Gregory and I were friends before his mishap and he was incarcerated,” Harris wrote on Aug. 17, 2005. “I feel he has paid for his unfortunate lack of self control and the damage he has caused as much as possible and is sorry. This will not restore the lives that were taken; he will carry that with him for the rest of his life.”

The next year, Harris wrote again in support of Green’s release. “I’ve noticed a great deal of growth and his understanding has matured quite a bit as well as his processing skills,” Harris wrote. “If he was to be released, he would be welcomed as a part of our church community, and whatever we could do to help him adjust, we would..”
