Wow I came across this tragic story that happened around the end of June 2013 in Belgrade, Serbia. An Ivorian woman named Sabina Maric brutally murdered her husband Branka (UN pilot) and tried to kill herself in an attempted murder suicide. Sabina Maric who recovered after taking pills and stabbing herself said she did it because her husband was leaving her and their two young sons for a Sudanese woman. She used a drill to murder her husband who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol after stuffing his mouth with a rag. I can’t even imagine using a drill on someone’s head.

I have been raised in a very open-minded family. My mother, has always been exceptional. Even during the 60’s when the Civil Rights fight was raging, many kids of color would not help the Caucasian kids learn about their culture. Our school was now integrated school and the questions and interest was sincere. My mom, took a stand and bridged the gap.
Last year, I made one of the most difficult decisions of my life. I decided to get married—again. I can understand if people roll their eyes at this, but if you’ve never been divorced, then you may not ever be able to understand. My divorce wasn’t nasty or drawn out in the traditional sense, but I was left quite broken, scarred, and afraid.

I am all for the short courtships. When two people are on the same page and committed to making their marriage work, it usually does. As in the marriage of Mark and Charmaine Davis. What a wonderfully romantic story of love and family.
