For those of you who do decide to relocate or move for whatever reason be it love, work, study or just a change, you should always have a plan B and C if need be. In other words, you need a way out if things don’t work out — the old standby if you will.
Want to meet Scandinavian Men? Black Women Scandinavian Marriage is a traditional, interracial dating site for singles who want to date and marry nationally or internationally. So once you join, you put in your criteria and see who comes up. It has a general data base so criteria is important.
I was an exchange student in Germany in the 1980s so it was extremely refreshing to get a note and pics from a woman there this morning at Swirling and Marriage. Laritza shares: “Ich bin Laritza aus Kuba und er ist mein Freund Alex aus Deutschland und Spanien. Wir sind frisch verliebt.”
Malika and Khadijah Haqq
All the media buzz about Kim Kardashian’s pregnancy led me to thinking about the Kardashian sisters and their circles. Then I remembered the beautiful black twin actresses Malika and Khadijah Haqq. If their last name Haqq didn’t get you thinking about it’s origins, then maybe you thought they were just rich, pretty black girls who grew up with the Kardashians.
So life is pretty much perfect. You’ve found the man of your dreams . You’re both happy and content …there’s just one problem. That burning flame is now just a flicker at best. The love is still there but what about the passion.
Jamie and Nikki Perkins
Check out the wedding of our favorite Swirling couple from Down Under. They’re just having too much fun. We love you Jamie and Nikki. They are absolutely fantastic, fabulous and fun!
From Uganda to Serbia, Rose Bugarčić’s Incredible Journey… In 2011 Rosa Josiah Mirembe Abbott Bugarčić or simply Rose, became the first black woman to be appointed to the Serbian government, specifically the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Originally from Uganda, is married to Serbian Zivko Bugarčić and they live with their 3 children in Belgrade. Minister Ivica Dacic officially charged Rose with the challenge to resolve issues mainly because of her expertise in European integration. She felt the need to do her part and contribute to Serbia’s application to the European Union.
I am a certified Swirl Huntress and can find black women swirlers or interracial relationship/marriage related news in the outer most regions of the Earth. Imagine my surprise when I came across this movie with an African woman interracial theme! I was beyond thrilled reading about Feathered Dreams and the trailer did not disappoint. I love movies as much as the next person, but I have found other things to do with my time quite honestly these days. However, this movie I am putting on my “MUST SEE” list. Maybe that is because the last movie I saw was 9 months ago when I was braving the frigid, nose hair freezing North Pole, Alaska 51 degrees below zero days. After that experience, nobody should be asking why movies are low priority for or anyone in my family. But I digress.
Jamie and Nikki are engaged!

I can count on one hand how many non-black men I’ve dated inside the United States. But now that I’m living abroad, I might need your fingers, Clutchettes. After studying abroad in Europe, and now, living in Brasil, I’ve had the opportunity to explore my options as a single woman.
I came across a post by Lola Akinmade Åkerström’s blog advising black women seeking to live abroad. I had to share her inspiring blog from Heart & Soul from Jan. 22, 2011.
As many of you embark on your sojourns overseas, no doubt that you have given thought to what languages you will have to learn. Many of you are already in classes or have taken classes in the language of the country you plan to visit or live in or the language of your sweetheart if English is not his mother tongue. There are ways to get started from books, to dvds, to online programs and many are free for basic or conversational instruction.
I happened upon this blog last year. It was originally posted back in 2009 on the Cultural Matters blog by Lisa L. Wynn. Lisa is an American expat living in Australia. I found the post interesting enough to review the comments and chime in a couple of times. I encourage black women to seek out opportunities for love in Australia and New Zealand. I know people living in both places. Follow the comments as people are still posting.
