I supported the great American Veteran 95-year-old Ophelia Outley who served her country, raised children and grandchildren and from what I can tell led a wonderful life. That was until some thug decided to break into her home, beat and rape her. This woman witnessed a country change before her very eyes from Segregation and Jim Crow to a black man in the White House and probably had a million stories to share with her children and the world.
Freda shares her story: Jeremy and I were together for 4 years before marrying in July 2015. We lot friends and some family members due to our decision to be together. Our older son’s name is Jaden, as you can see we were expecting but now have another little baby boy. Jeremy and I met through mutual friends. From the first day Jeremy and I met, we felt the connection.
Wow I came across this tragic story that happened around the end of June 2013 in Belgrade, Serbia. An Ivorian woman named Sabina Maric brutally murdered her husband Branka (UN pilot) and tried to kill herself in an attempted murder suicide. Sabina Maric who recovered after taking pills and stabbing herself said she did it because her husband was leaving her and their two young sons for a Sudanese woman. She used a drill to murder her husband who was under the influence of drugs and alcohol after stuffing his mouth with a rag. I can’t even imagine using a drill on someone’s head.

According to Bloomberg, Mark Zuckerberg just became the sixth-richest person on Earth. Priscilla did not do half bad. As a matter of fact she did great in choosing a great husband and provider to her, Max and any more children they have.
Monyetta Can Move On Now That Ne-Yo And Crystal Renay Are Married! I don’t follow gossip sites much but once in a while, something will get my attention by surfing the Internet. I came across this post on Media Take Out about singer Ne-Yo. They report that he and Crystal Renay had a shot-gun wedding over the weekend. Seems Crystal, the new wife is pregnant. We are a pro-marriage blogzine and will always champion marriage as the goal of loving, marriage-minded men and women who are ready to take their love to the final level. But, having seen the episode of Atlanta Exes where the mother of Ne-Yo’s children; Monyetta Shaw is baring her soul to Christina in tears. She was distraught about having had her tubes burned at Ne-Yo’s request (demand if you ask me).
I am all for the short courtships. When two people are on the same page and committed to making their marriage work, it usually does. As in the marriage of Mark and Charmaine Davis. What a wonderfully romantic story of love and family.
We love blended families here at Interracial Marriage and Family. We love you because you blend like a boss. As a matter of fact, all of our blended families are Beautifully Blended like a Boss™. You do it right and you do it well.
It has been a while since we heard from Dr. Misee Harris. We first introduced Misee as she prefers to be called, a year and a half ago as our “Woman On A Mission” . She was on a quest to become America’s first black Bachelorette. That did not work out, but this is one dentist who was not to be outdone.
Readers of BWDB, Beyond Black and White, Interracial Marriage and family have been treated to interviews of Lissette Gonzalez and her fabulous family. (See Color Blind & Valentines ). We were absolutely delighted in Lissette’s love for her husband Ali and children Kiara and Ulysses.
Most of us may recall first meeting Dr. Misee Harris when she took on the producers at ABC’s Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise in hopes of becoming the first black bachelorette. Well ABC passed on the offer, or she would say Dr. Harris passed on them and seems to be getting the last laugh. Culminating ten years of advanced level education to become a pediatric dentist, Dr. Harris settled into a thriving dental practice in central Tennessee. Because of her popularity, parents all over the area started booking dental appointments for their children. And because Dr. Harris is as skilled as she beautiful, her patient list is growing quite large because parents are so pleased with her work and genuine love for children.

Interracial Marriage in History 1 Sarah Gammon Bickford. I first learned about Sarah Gammon Bickford in 2008 while doing research on blacks in early Montana. Thanks to the Montana Historical Society, I found a wealth of information. Blacks have been there since the Antebellum period in the US. I was so happy for this find, I couldn’t wait to share it with Karyn Folan, Cherelyn Weeks Smith and a couple other swirling black women bloggers. I purchased the pictures putting them away for a future project. These images were the first ones that started off my collection of Vintage black woman IR couples album on my Facebook page. I started that page on April 16, 2010. Read on…..
